Grand Central Announced
Circus Records is excited to announce a new compilation album set to release March 24th. The album, named Grand Central will feature 11 brand new tracks from label founders Doctor P and Flux Pavilion, as well as an array of artists from around the globe. This compilation will also mark the first outings on Circus Records for Lets Be Friends, Fox Stevenson, Dead Exit, Robots Can't Dance and Nezzo. Grand Central highlights some new sounds from Circus while still holding true to the orginal formula the label was founded on.
Circus 2.5 - Out Now!
Circus 2.5 is now available. The album is a selection of remixes for the 2013 Circus Two compilation.
With ‘Circus 2.5’ you get a collective mix of wall-shattering, colossal-bass goodness served up. With cuts originally from Cookie Monsta, Brown and Gammon and FuntCase given a fresh lick of paint by some of the biggest names on the electronic scene such as AC Slater, Opiuo and Proxy. As with any Circus Records release be ready for a full throttle onslaught of galvanizing beats, lashings of mind-bending electronics and soaring melodies wrapped in epic production crafted by some of the world’s most talented and in-demand producers. This is a compilation of many different styles that would not normally find themselves on the Circus imprint.
Circus Records are advocates of giving the freshest talent an opportunity and ‘Circus 2.5’ exemplifies this with two remix winners appearing on the bill. Having unearthed the likes of Mizuki via previous Circus Records remix competitions, Cyran and Matti Blair both impressed with their respective Mizuki’s ‘Block Party’ and Cookie Monsta and FuntCase’s ‘Atom Bomb’ remixes to earn a spot alongside only the best in bass music.

Cookie Monsta - Blame It On The Dog / Big Booty Bass - Out Now!
2013 was the year that saw Cookie Monsta cement his position as one of the founding forces of EDM. The North England based artist is one of the most popular DJs on the world scene.
This year saw Cookie Monsta tour North America on a bus with Flux Pavilion, release two of the biggest tunes of the year (‘Yow Momma’ and ‘Come Find Me’), pen the unexpected hit of Circus Two (‘Lucifer’), which happened to be an entire compilation release curated by him and his mate FuntCase.
To finish of the year in style Cookie drops a couple of DJ favorites with ‘Blame It On The Dog’, a homage to the UK sounds that took Dubstep to the top of the world and ‘Big Booty Bass’, a take on the sound of Trap twisted into the mind of the Monsta.
2014 is already lining up to be an even bigger year for Cookie Monsta, some huge tracks are beginning to take shape and you can expect a new EP and some killer co-labs to hit the streets soon.
Roksonix - Full Flight - Out Now
Fresh from their recent US tour with the legendary Flux Pavilion, Roksonix have returned to the UK armed with what it likely to be their biggest banger to date… ‘Full Flight’.
The North London duo that are behind the massive ‘Dogfight’ put this one together shortly before heading out over the Atlantic, after testing it on the tour a quick release was a must. The jungle inspired Drumstep monster that it is has become an instant hit with the dance-floor.
The production on this one is about as heavy as it gets, once the bass drops it blows crowds apart, a consistent element found in Roksonix tracks. Something which we’re going to get a lot of in the next 6 months. The boys have been busy and will be turning heads with a new onslaught of varying BPM’s in 2014.
Expect the full spectrum of pace and power, drawing from their roots, from their inspirations and from their experience, the next year will see Roksonix placed on top of the next wave of electronic culture.
Flux Pavilion - Freeway - Out Now
Flux Pavilion has dropped his diversified Freeway EP via Circus/Big Beat Records for the world! 5 new original tracks, 4 collaborations (including 2 with huge household names Dillion Francis & Steve Aoki), and 1 incredibly anthemic track Flux sings on himself. “Freeway”. The Freeway EP is the perfect snapshot of Josh’s UK bass roots and the direction his productions are moving in.
Watch the animated video by Vincent Scala for "Steve French (feat. Steve Aoki)” now! Flux plays his next show this Wednesday at Tulsa, OK’s Cain’s Ballroom. The US Leg of his Freeway tour wraps up this Sunday, November 17th, in College Station, TX.

Doctor P and Adam F featuring Method Man - 'The Pit'
Doctor P and Adam F have teamed up with the Grammy award-winning Method Man to produce colossal new single ‘The Pit’, due for release 14th October via Circus Records. Jammed full of abrasive attitude via the uncompromising bars of Method Man and seismic doses of super charged bass; ‘The Pit’ will trigger many a mosh pit.
| iTunes |
As duos go, Doctor P and Adam F have a formidable reputation; millions of record sales, an all-conquering record label in Circus and a ‘Top 10 Producer in the World’ title. It’s clear that quality cuts through on ‘The Pit’. But team this with the man who regularly features in the top MCs of all time lists – Method Man - and you have an unrivalled combination.
Instantly grabbing you as a fierce and thumping beat rains down beneath Method Man’s iconic flow, joined by crushing synth melodies designed to entice and destroy dancefloors universally, ‘The Pit’ simply isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Having co-written the title track to L.L Cool J’s number one album ‘G.O.A.T’ and receiving commendation from just about every major player in the industry, Adam F’s finely tuned songwriting ear is the perfect catalyst for Doctor P’s endless stream of bass-driven hits such as the game-changing ‘Sweet Shop’, his recent smash ‘The Champagne Böp’ and countless remixes for the likes of Example and Plan B.
Stepping up for remix duties sees immense efforts from Datsik and Brillz, who is quickly making a name for himself having collaborated with the likes of Diplo. Throw in a video for ‘The Pit’ from Burning Reel, responsible for creating videos for world renowned artists and success seems a certainty for this dream team.
Submotion Orchestra - 1968 EP - Out Now
With two incredibly successful albums under their belt Submotion Orchestra bring their latest five track EP to UK independent Circus Records. The seven-piece group that formed in 2009 have forged a large loyal fan base with their blend of Electronica, Jazz, Dub and Soul, music that has been described as ‘stunning’ by The Guardian and ‘seductive’ by The Times.
Following a chance meeting in London with Circus co-founder Flux Pavilion who declared his love for the band, SubMo promptly signed to the label reaffirming the notion that Circus have always sought to release only the highest quality music, regardless of genre. Flux Pavilion says "to release Submo on Circus is amazing, I’ve always been a big fan of their music.”
The new EP ‘1968’ is a masterclass in ethereal, soulful vocals that sit astride shuffling drums as on ‘Broken World’ or ‘Breathe It In’. Lead singer Ruby’s voice echoes early pop Janet Jackson on ‘Damn Hot’ whilst title track ‘1968’ is smooth and subtle: echoing piano keys gliding beneath intricate layers of sound.
Following debut album ‘Finest Hour’ in 2011 and ‘Fragments’ in 2012, the Leeds band return with a subtle piece of art in ‘1968’ that weaves its way into your brain, takes hold and never lets go. Ready to soothe amongst a sea of EDM, Submotion Orchestra will soon be playing the likes of Prague, Manchester and Bristol including a date at London’s Koko on 15th November.
Primed to take their music to a whole new audience with Circus Records, let Submotion Orchestra take you to a whole musical landscape with ‘1968’
FuntCase - 100,000 likes Celebration and a new Single 'Lets Do It'
Mizuki - Uppercut - Out Now
Mizuki, the Scottish Ninja, hits shops with ‘Uppercut’ his second solo release. This follows the massively successful debut ‘Punch Out’ and his appearances on Circus Two including firm fan favourite ‘Block Party’ and his collaboration remix of ‘Dark Matter’ with Circus Records founder Doctor P.
‘Uppercut’ sees him return to Dubstep, bringing with him his rock influences and his characteristic modern sound. This is a great example of the talent that is Mizuki, the newest exclusive signing to Circus Records. It’s a glance into the future soundscapes and depth that can be expected in a run of forthcoming releases due in the next 3 months.
The track was well received recently on UKF Dubstep and received DJ support from artists such as Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Sub Focus, Semtex, Emalkay, Dirtyphonics, Pegboard Nerds, N Type, Zeds Dead and SKisM.
Don’t Fight It…
Brown & Gammon - The Force - Out Now
The last few months have seen Brown and Gammon bed down in their studio, crafting the next phase of their dynamic sound. ‘The Force’ is the first official delivery, the first look into something that we all at Circus think is going to be very special.
‘The Force’ is 100 BPM, some would call it Glitch Hop, most would struggle to give it a tag, music this good doesn’t need a pigeon hole. It contains reflections of the artists dubstep roots but enters a new world, inspired by the modern French House movement, inspired by the sounds of the 80’s and inspired by a love of musicality. It’s deep, it’s music and it rocks.
The track has been championed on Radio 1 by MistaJam, premiered on UKF Music and received incredible DJ support from artists such as Flux Pavilion, Datsik, Doctor P, SKisM, Eptic, Bare Noize, Dodge and Fuski, 12th Planet, High Rankin, Crissy Criss and Semtex to name but a few.
Flux Pavilion - 1 Million Likes on Facebook Giveaway!
Last week an important milestone in the world of Flux Pavilion was reached, this called for a celebration of such a victory. Flux Pavilion hit a million likes on Facebook and to celebrate this huge achievement, to thank all of his dedicated fans over the years he gave a track away, an epic, heart felt tune called 'Standing on a Hill'… You can download it here.
Circus Two Remix Competition
To celebrate the release of ‘Circus Two’ presented by FuntCase and Cookie Monsta, Circus Records have teamed up with Juno Download and SoundCloud, to host their third official remix competition. But this time there’s a twist…
You can Enter Here
‘Circus Two’ is an LP filled with collaborations from the entire Circus Records family, bursting with a variety of BPMs and sub genres. And the fresh track that budding producers can sink their teeth into? A brand-new collaboration between FuntCase and Cookie Monsta in the form of ‘Atom Bomb’. The twist? Three winners will be picked and asked to remix another track from the album in a completely different genre from their original remix in order to be crowned the eventual winner.
The final winner of the competition will win a release on Circus Records and loads of great goodies provided by Juno Records, UDG and SoundCloud. All three winners of round one will win a lifetime addition to the Circus Records promo list.
Circus Records have quickly become one of the most commanding, bass-lead music record labels in the world. Founded by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P in 2009, Circus Records have signed an array of artists, including ‘Circus Two’ curators Cookie Monsta and FuntCase who are currently dominating the US and the rest of the world with their own spin on pumping electronic music.
Circus Records has also forged incredibly successful careers for the likes of artists Brown and Gammon, Slum Dogz, Roksonix, and more recently Mizuki; the latter two who were signed after winning remix competitions orchestrated by Circus Records.
With a pedigree for launching the next big names on the scene, this is a competition that aspiring unsigned artists can’t afford to miss.

Circus Two - Out Now
Following the release of ‘Circus One’, Circus Records have released the next instalment of their mammoth compilation series ‘Circus Two’ curated by the next generation of that distinctive, international Circus sound.
Featuring original tracks from all the current Circus crop, including label co-founders Doctor P and Flux Pavilion, as well as FuntCase, Cookie Monsta, Brown and Gammon, Mizuki, Roksonix and Slum Dogz, ‘Circus Two’ clocks in at a mammoth 25 tracks with almost half exclusive to this release.
From the pairing of presenters Cookie Monsta and FuntCase on the dark and dangerous rolling beats of ‘Atom Bomb’ which will be the tune to remix in order to win a release on the label in the future, it’s clear Circus has saved only the finest monster new cuts for ‘Circus Two’. Roksonix hook trademark wobbles with uplifting pop vocals on ‘Feel Good’ as Circus’ newbie Mizuki layer arcade-inspired synths to incredible effect on ‘Block Party’, proving the next generation of Circus artists are where it’s at when it comes to incredible club music with added humour and punch.
That’s not to say that ‘Circus Two’ is lacking in modern-day classics. Just check Flux Pavilion and SKisM feat Foreign Beggars attitude-laden ‘Jump Back’, Roksonix ‘Dogfight’ or FuntCase’s haunting ‘Ghosts’ for pounding reminders that Circus have continued to deliver on-point bass music since inception in 2010.
With the release of ‘Circus One’ thrusting Flux Pavilion and Doctor P into the mainstream with hits ‘Bass Cannon’ and ‘Sweet Shop’, ‘Circus Two’ will be no exception for FuntCase and Cookie Monsta. Two of the most in-demand international DJs, regularly selling out huge venues across the globe, these guys know a thing or two about thumping tunes. Consider ‘Circus Two’ their testimony.
Mizuki - Punch Out - Out Now
Mizuki, one of Circus Records freshest signings, announces a colossal single ‘Punch Out’ and B-side ‘Oh Yeah’, a double that is set to put him firmly on the radar as one of Bass Music’s hottest talents. Tracks ‘Punch Out’ and ‘Oh Yeah’ are out now via Circus Records.
Pre Order on iTunes
Mizuki’s production talents are fully recognised on this release, with his addictive melodies shining through crystal clear production, as filthy basslines cut deep on tracks built for the dancefloor.
Citing futurism as one of his biggest influences, lead track ‘Punch Out’ features an array of glittering futuristic, electronic sounds that lure you toward the melodic, synth-driven track. Also inspired by a wide range of artists from the tranquil sounds of Imogen Heap to the heavier tones of Porcupine Tree, it’s the latter’s influence that shape the blasting basslines heard in ‘Punch Out’.
‘Oh Yeah’ subtly builds as carefully layered instrumentation and vocal edits create an atmospheric intro before a monstrous bassline and pounding drums thrusts ‘Oh Yeah’ skywards, leaving dancefloors in brilliant mayhem.
Producing since he was 16, Dunfermline’s Mizuki, earned his deal with Circus Records through a jaw-dropping remix of label co-founder Doctor P and Jenna G’s track ‘Neon’. Still only a Circus Records newcomer, Mizuki is soon to be held in the same high esteem as label co-founders Doctor P and Flux Pavilion.
FuntCase - Don't P*ss Me Off - Out Now
One of Circus Record’s filthiest and with the most loyal fans on the scene, you can rely on FuntCase to bring the bass overload. ‘Don’t P*ss Me Off’ is an eight-track turbo-charged electronic flex.
Featuring collaborations with Foreign Beggars and The OGz on ‘Everybody Knows’, FuntCase marries grime flavours with that trademark bass synth, while title track ‘Don’t P*ss Me Off’ featuring MIK ups tempo and battens down the hatches for a grinding dancefloor bomb.
Further guests come in the shape of Engine Earz on ‘Charged Particle’ and Pearl sponsored metal drummer Daniil Svetlov on ‘Titanium’; a track to blast away any doubts about the power of that energetic, aggressive death metal drumming style that infiltrates FuntCase’s rawest sounds. ‘Angry Claw’ is intense; the audio, pogo-packaged titled after FuntCase’s on-stage claw trademark.
Known for his raw and dirty style, FuntCase is already one of the most influential players in electronic music, this EP simply cements that.

The McMash Clan - Swing Break ft. Kate Mullins
Available to buy:
Listen on YouTube
We still can’t stop listening to this little beauty, when we first heard ‘Swing Break’ it blew us away and it hasn’t stopped doing so since. The McMash Clan are made up of three Londoners and beyond making beats they also have a sick 4 deck live show and have performed at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown and Bloc.
When you start talking to DJs about a new artist it’s sometimes tough to convince them that they should be checking them out. On this occasion it was the opposite, the DJ glitterati have been going mad for it since mail out. One of the first people to jump on board was Skrillex and since then it’s snowballed. From Dillon Francis to Emalkay, from Hatcha to Blame and from Crissy Criss to N Type, the diverse response has been incredible across dance-floors and radio’s worldwide.
Vocals come from Kate Mullins, a lead member of the swing punk vocal trio the Puppini Sisters, the best-dressed girl band in history.
Flux Tour Comes To An End
3 weeks, 13 destinations and 1500 miles later, the Flux Pavilion Standing on a Hill sell out UK tour has come to an end. From the four tips of the Kingdom, from Brighton to Glasgow from Cardiff to Norwich, Flux smashed venues to pieces with his live show. Mosh Pits were everywhere, dance-floors were packed and going wild from the moment doors opened. This sort of thing hasn’t been seen in some of these theatres since the mid-nineties.
Utilising a brand new production including massive HD screens, lasers and bespoke visuals, the feedback from fans was positive through out. Those at the shows were given a taste of Flux’s new EP ‘Blow The Roof’ (street date 3rd September), tracks like ‘One Two Three’ and ‘Do or Die’ became anthems by the end of the tour.
Supporting Flux through his travels was US legend Dillon Francis who brought with him his own flavours, went down a storm. Each city also played host to another member of the Circus Family with Roksonix, Brown and Gammon and new signing Mizuki stepping up to the plate at various different venues.

Mizuki's Free Giveaway
Not long ago Circus Records and Juno Download got together to run a little competition, that competition was to remix Doctor P and Jenna G’s ‘Neon, that competition was won by a young Scot named Mizuki.
Not only did Mizuki win the prize and the prospect of a release on Circus but the label were so impressed with him, so they signed him to join the Circus family. What better way to announce this to the world than to go back to Juno Download (where it all began) and give away Mizuki’s remix of ‘Neon’, for free, no sausages, nothing, nada, gratis… All yours.
It’s going to be a busy winter for Circus, following the recent release of ‘Dirty Doris’ by Brown and Gammon’ they’ve got the latest Slum Dogz release ‘The Jungle Book’ dropping on Sunday October 14th, swiftly followed in the way of The McMash Clan with their incredible ‘Swing Break’… That’s just the start, to sign up for more giveaways and to get the latest from the Circus camp sign up to their news letter on the front page.
'Dirty Doris' out now
Brown and Gammon was one of the first artists to appear on Circus, back in the heady days of 2009 with ‘Painkillers’. At the time you could see the raw talent shining through. In 2012 that former stone of Dubstep potential has become a perfectly sculpted expression of EDM, the Brown and Gammon way.
Heads turned at the release of ‘How I Feel’, Brown and Gammon’s track on the recent ‘Mr Mongoose’ EP, the crafted melodies and bass line hooks demonstrated a fresh angle, a unique approach to bass. The time of Brown and Gammon is here with the release of ‘Dirty Doris’ and ‘Rock Da Beats’, turn it on and let the music do the talking. A diverse array of DJs including the likes of Mistajam, Blame, DJ Semtex, Rusko, Dirtyphonics, N Type, Crissy Criss , Skism and Loadstar all agree that the sounds of Brown and Gammon need to be heard.

It's over two years since Roksonix decided to reply to the Circus remix competition, re-making Flux Pavilion's 'Voscilate' in their own design. Wonder if they ever expected that it would help them become fully fledged members of the Circus Family.
Further proof of their skills can be found in the two tracks released on Circus Records this week. Track 1 is the massive 'Get Live' and is backed with 'Girlz' featuring MC Spyda (of 'Tarantula' fame).

Flux Pavilion Added To Brixton Line Up
On Friday 5th October the full Circus Records crew will be descending upon Electric Brixton for a special label showcase, taking the reigns for seven hours of top quality bass-driven music. With their burgeoning roster in tow and a unique production created especially for the night, the label will be giving attendees the full immersive Circus experience. Expect heavy beats, maniacal basslines and a raft of suprises along the way.
In the three years since its inception the label, set up by long-time friends Doctor P and Flux Pavilion with Maximum Boost heads Swan-E and Earl Falconer, has quickly risen to become an internationally renowned movement bringing the best in all things bass related. Emerging out of a rapidly evolving dubstep scene as a vehicle to put out Flux and Doctor P’s own productions, the label’s growing roster now includes bass stalwarts Cookie Monsta, Funtcase, Roksonix and Brown & Gammon as well, cementing their status as scene leaders and champions of fresh talent.
On 5th October the whole crew will be joining this one-off lineup - including a very special unannounced guest (sshhhh!) - each bringing with them their unique sound to complete the labyrinthine Circus puzzle. The bill will be completed by Krafty MC who will be on hosting duties for the night. As a seasoned entertainer and one third of Slum Dogz, he will be riling up the crowd as he oversees proceedings. With the label and many of its artists constantly busy collaborating with other producers, vocalist and MCs, you can be sure that there will be some more surprise appearances along the way, but we will leave it up to you to guess who they might be.
Intent on making this a special occasion, Circus will also going the extra mile with a full production that will ensure that this is anything but an ordinary club night. From the moment you step in the door to the moment you leave, you will be treated to the full, no holds barred Circus show.

Bassrush Vs Circus at the La Palladium
LA Palladium, wow, what a night that was. If you want to see what we mean check out the video we’ve put together. Has Sunset Boulevard ever seen anything like it before, probably not, fear not we’ll be back to pound it again next year.
We’ve got to say a massive thank you to the US side of the Circus family, all those who helped organize and all those the parishioners who sacrificed their Sunday to come raving with us. We salute you… Can’t wait to see you again soon!
Forthcoming from the Circus camp
Things are far from quiet at Circus HQ, there’s a whole ton of releases working their way out of Chocolate Studio this summer.
First up Funtcase will drop his latest EP, featuring ‘Invaderz’, In!, Dem Mans and title track ‘Doomed’. Then we’ve got Roksonix with ‘Girlz’ and the eagerly anticipated co lab with MC Spider ‘Get Live’.
Finishing off the summer schedule are Slumdogz who are back in action with ‘Jungle Book’ and ‘7eventh Sign’. You think this is making your mouth water, wait to see what we’ve got in store for Autumn, Christmas and then 2013!
Cookie Monsta Vs America
Finally, the USA knows what it’s like to feel the Cookie Monsta. Manic and totally infectious have been the words previously used to describe the legend that Tony Cook has crafted.
'WTF, I've been to the US on many occasions, but the crowd at EDC were mental, I can't wait to play there again' says Cookie.
Cookie Monsta was performing as part of Flux Pavilion’s sell out Standing on the Hill tour, crowds lapped up his latest beats, including the up and coming smasher ‘Your Momma’s Ass’.
Standing on the Hill, Flux Returns from US Tour
Between helping run a scene-leading label and writing some of the sickest beats on the planet, Circus’s own Flux Pavilion has just returned from his first (sell out) US tour. Fans from NYC, LA, Denver, Chicago and more all got the chance to go nuts to the Circus sound. The likes of ‘I Can’t Stop’ and ‘Bass Cannon’ proving their worth on the floors of all the venues (including Red Rocks and EDC) that Flux and his crew took over.
'The response was truly overwhelming. Before I even went on stage for the show in Austin, the noise was deafening. I have to say that 5 weeks travelling on a tour bus was great fun' said Flux.
The tour took place in May and June, Circus stable mates Cookie Monsta and Brown & Gammon ably assisted as support acts. The lucky fans that managed to catch the shows are unlikely to forget it; epic doesn’t come close.
Flux Pavilion Nominated For MTVU 2012 Woodie Award
Flux Pavilion's mega 'I Can't Stop' which helped make 'Who Gon Stop Me' one of Jay Z and Kanye West's 'Watch The Throne' albums most stand out tracks. And considering it was alongside the likes of the tracks 'Paris' and 'Otis' was quite a feat.
Flux has been nominated along such luminaries as Calvin Harris (feat. Rihanna) and Benni Benassi (feat. Chris Brown).
If you would like to vote for Flux, then click on the attached link and scroll down to the vote button.
Flux Pavilion Headlining First US Tour
Josh Steele, better known as bass practitioner Flux Pavilion, has announced his first string of headlining dates in the US. Coming off a landmark appearance at Ultra in March, the UK producer/DJ/musician is slated to bring his eclectic taste to audiences on both coasts this summer. Flux Pavilion posses the unique ability to readjust the American palate to the dubstep formula, maintaining the nuances of the genre, whilst also incorporating various musical elements, rendering Josh capable of winning over the most discerning ears. His virtuosic production spurred Kanye West to sample a large portion of his "I Can't Stop" for "Who Gon' Stop Me" from the "Watch The Throne" album with Jay-Z. This US jaunt will take Flux up and down both coasts and kicks off at the sold-out Coachella festival in Indio, California.
